Roof Coating & Roof Sealing - Kent
With the roof fully cleaned, concrete tiles will take on a sandstone finish. The years of accumulated moss, algae and airborne dirt has along with general weathering eroded the layers of the original surface combined with the pressure cleaning has made the surface more abrasive and therefore if not protected completely moss and algae will soon re grow.
Customers have two choices at this stage they can if required have a coloured coating applied or a clear acrylic sealer. Both will protect and aid in inhibiting moss and algae growth as well as enhancing the visual aspect of your home or business premises.
Prior to the application of the selected finish and after a suitable drying time an application of moss and algae biocide will be spray applied to ensure any remaining spores are killed off.
Then after cutting in by hand the perimeter of the roof structure and, if required applying a suitable coating to enhance the lead flashing, we will apply the first of two coats of product by airless spray unit.
The application via an airless sprayer is essential in achieving a quality finish and ensuring a suitable amount of roof coating or roof sealer is applied and absorbed into the roof tiles to ensure longevity of colour enhancement. A second coat is then applied to further protect and enhance the roof tiles.
This will complete the work and leave you with an outstanding finsh that will last many years.
